Prep Volleyball: Lady Trojans beat the Patriots 3-1

Pequot Lakes, Minn. (September 17)—Michaela Hesse slammed a team-high 14 kills and registered four blocks to help propel Sebeka past Pequot Lakes 3-1 during Tuesday’s non-conference volleyball match.

The Lady Trojans took the first two sets (25-13, 25-21) from the host team, but the Patriots rallied to win the third (25-14) before falling in the fourth and final set, 25-15.

Sebeka played well defensively to record 102 digs with Heidi Olson leading the way with 28. Jordan Lillquist had 22 digs and three Lady Trojans posted double digits with Erin Lillquist adding 14 digs and both Alexis Rathcke and Madison Lake had 12 apiece.

Offensively, the Lady Trojans notched 10 service aces. Olson went 18-for-20 with four aces and Lake nailed three aces on a perfect 14-for-14 from the service line.

In addition, Lake also posted 28 set assists in the victory.

Sebeka (9-2) hosts Park Region Conference rival Menahga at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
