The Trojans defeated the Panthers with excellent pitching, good base running and timely hitting on Tuesday afternoon.
Kolby Kiser started on the mound and pitched out of two bases loaded jams in the first two innings of the game. He ended up pitching 5 and a third innings before having to come out because the pitch count maximum was reached. He struck out 13 Panthers, allowed 4 hits and walked 2 to pick up his fifth win of the season. Isaac Tellers earned his third save of the year as he pitched the remaining inning and two thirds. He struck out two batters and did not allow a hit.
The Trojans scored three runs in the fourth inning. Spencer Lake drove in the first run with a single. Mason Dailey stole home for the second run and Lake scored on a Mason Heino sacrifice fly. The Trojans tacked on an insurance run in the sixth on an RBI single by Dawson Bullock. Also, getting hits in the game for Sebeka were Tyce Lee, Kolby Kiser, David Avelsgard and Noah Stevens.
The Trojans record is 12 wins and 6 losses on the year. They play Ashby on Thursday in Sebeka at 5:00.
